A small neighborhood public school academy is looking to fill several Parapro staff members to work with teachers to grow K-8th grade students.

Job description:
The major focus of the job is to assist the teacher in the classroom, with the primary responsibility being to help students academically. The job will also include instructional, supervisory, and clerical responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

Proficient in math and reading
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to promote harmonious relationships with students, parents, staff, and administrators
Computer knowledge helpful
High school graduate or equivalent and pass the Parapro test, OR have 60 college credit hours, OR have an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in any major
Must be willing to take additional training if needed

Child Care Worker- Latch Key Program

New Bedford Academy is currently seeking a Child Care Worker for the 2023-2024 School Year to perform the associated duties for our Latch Key Program. Please see all information pertaining to the program below.

Morning: 6 AM- 7:30 AM

For morning arrival, students will be dropped off at the gym doors and signed in by an adult. At
7:30 AM, students will be accompanied to their classroom for breakfast and the regular school
day.

Afternoon: 3:00 PM- 6 PM

In the afternoon, students will be dismissed from their classroom and the childcare staff will
pick them up to walk them to the childcare area for the day. A sign will be put on the door or out
front detailing which door parents will use to pick up their students. When picking up your child,
please sign them out on the designated sign-out form. Upon each arrival and departure, please
check in with a staff member so they know which children are there.
